We know that the people of north central Montana are as diverse as the stunning country side we live in and we are committed to being flexible and accommodating to the diverse customs and traditions of all our families. Our job is to listen to our customer’s ideas and concerns and collaborate together on the perfect way to gather family and friends to honor your loved one. Upon calling a consultation with the staff of Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremation Services, our immediate job will be to assume the burden of all the details and arrangements for the services you choose. We will work to immediately minimize the stress and workload on your family and work together to create a meaningful ceremony to express the genuine individuality of your loved one. All packages include Basic Services of Staff, Clerical assistance with obituaries, death certificates, and VA Benefits paperwork.

Many families have asked us to provide their loved one with special services to create a unique and memorable experience. Some examples of special services that we have provided in the past include horse-led funeral wagon, processions for hundreds of vehicles, unique locations such as parks, family cemeteries or other special places, special visitation hours, a living memorial, balloon release, distinct live music, branding of caskets, and arranging for patriot guards for military services.

Burial

Traditional Funeral Service

The traditional funeral service typically consists of a full funeral service at a church, our funeral chapel, or the location of your choice. A funeral service provides an opportunity for family and friends to gather, mourn, and celebrate the life of their loved one. Often the body is presented in a casket which allows family and friends to pay their respects in person.

Embalming Open casket service at church or funeral Home, with Hearse to the grave side service and service folder/program package with register book.

Other Burial Packages – $1895.00 and up

These packages include immediate burial services or burial with a grave side service.

Cremation

Simple or Direct Cremation

Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremation Services will handle the transportation, handling, permits and documentation for the cremation of your loved one. This package includes the very basic services and cremation cost.

$2780.00 and up

Cremation with a Memorial Service

Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremation Services will handle all the aspects for families opting for cremation of their loved one. Cremation arrangements can be individually tailored specifically to the wishes of the family and Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremation Services offers an array of options. This includes Staff at a Church or the Funeral Home for the memorial service, Hearse for grave side service and service folder/program package with register book.

$3150.00 and up

Traditional Service with Cremation

This service is the same as the Traditional Funeral Service but is followed by a cremation instead of a traditional burial with casket. A funeral service provides an opportunity for family and friends to gather, mourn, and celebrate the life of their loved one. This package includes embalming Open casket service at church or funeral Home, with Hearse to the grave side service, Cremation Cost, Rental Casket and service folder/program package with register book.

$4350.00 and up

Forwarding and Receiving Remains

If the death occurs locally and the family chooses to have a service or burial in another location, Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremation Services can handle the embalming and facilitate transportation and all logistics for safe and prompt delivery to a funeral home of your choosing. If the death occurs in another location and the family chooses to bury the deceased locally, we can receive and secure the remains and process necessary documentation and permits for the burial.

Tribal Burial Packages

We work with any tribe in the State of Montana our packages are all inclusive in the burial allowance that each tribe has to offer. Please Call for more details.
