Yvonne Bodner Obituary

Yvonne Mae Bodner, has gone to be with our savior in Jesus Christ, passing away at age 65, August 12th, 2022 at Northern Montana hospital with her son James holding her as she passed away. 

Yvonne was born to the late Luella and Eugene Bodner, July 26, 1957 in Havre Montana. 

 

She attended all her education in Havre with the exception of graduating from C.M.R. in Great Falls Montana in 1976. 

After high school, Yvonne gave birth to her first son, Michael Bodner in 1977 in Havre.

Yvonne spontaneously fell in love with Detroit and moved her and first born son to study her exam for real estate, achieving successfully and doing for one year. One year later she and Michael moved north to Alpena, Michigan, marrying Lawrence Kensa in 1982 and together they produced two sons, both born in Alpena, James in 1983 and Benjamin in 1984. Later Lawrence and Yvonne divorced in 1989.

In 1989, Yvonne moved her three loving sons to Havre, to be closer to loved family members.

 

Later she added one more son, Steve Bodner in 1991.

Yvonne's interests can be forever legacy, including having the capability to smile frequently, accept all with loving arms and cherishing every moment whether good or bad. She enjoyed knowing her bible, knitting and crocheting, reading Harlequin romances and history novels, country music, adoring Elvis Presley, casinos, country Western shows and anything world war II or Vietnam history this lady knew it all!

Yvonne's most attributed treasures were of her sons, her absolute happiness were her children and would find any employment to support her sons and self. Family was everything to her.

 

Yvonne's employment was most remembered in the casino industry, of 20 years. Meeting wonderful employees and customers throughout her career.

 

Proceeding Yvonne in death were her parents Luella 1959 and Eugene 2003, her uncle Earl Bodner, both sets of grandparents and childhood cousin Little Earl.

Yvonne is survived by her four sons, Michael Bodner of Salt Lake City, Utah, James Kensa of Great Falls Montana, Benjamin (Stephanie) Kensa of Glasgow Montana, and Steve (Katie) Bodner of Havre. Two brothers, Roger (Joanne) Bodner of Billings Montana, Bruce (Sue) Parks of Helena Montana, and Sister Debbie Bodner of Havre. Three grandchildren Francesca and Samantha Kensa of Glasgow Montana and Ronin Bodner. 

 

Gracious praise to the healthcare providers and medical staff of Bullhook clinic, Sletten Cancer Center and Northern Montana hospital along with the outstanding EMTs who came to her rescue at numerous times. Thank you all for your hope to my mother with all her health problems she went through, you all never gave up and we thank you.

Memorial services will be held at Havre cemetery, graveside at 2 p.m. Wednesday August 17th, 2022, entrusted by Wilderness Funeral Home.
