Yvonne Cecilia (Ball) Bigby was born September 22, 1934 to Robert Ball Sr., and Alice (Pond) Ball (Soft Eagle Feather Woman/Eagle Plume Woman) in Fort Belknap, MT.
Yvonne was a kind soft hearted woman whose life was centered around her family. Yvonne gave birth to Myron Gwin and Lauren Bigby and had several special nieces and nephews, namely John Hoops who she cared for as her own. In her earlier years Yvonne was one of the original Valley Girls along with her late sisters Karen and Carla. Upon her years at the Valley, she was behind the scenes in raising and training quarter horses and belonged to the American Quarter Horse Association and owned very beautiful horses. Yvonne attended Harlem Schools and graduated from Haskell Indian College, Lawrence KS. She worked with the BIA until she retired.
She is preceded by her parents, her daughter Laurenn, her husband Wilbur “Skee” Bigby, her sisters and her brothers Thomas, William, Curtis, Gordon, and George.
She is survived by her son Myron (Linda) Gwin, brothers Frank (Edna) Ball, and Robert Allen Ball, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who all love her very much. She will be greatly missed. Her last loving word of advice was Mneheychiah, make yourself strong.
