Travis Scheffelmaer

Travis Mitchell Scheffelmaer, 26, passed away on January 11, 2023. A service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Wilderness Funeral Home in Malta, MT. The services will be followed by a graveside service in Dodson and reception at the Mint Bar in Malta.

Travis was born April 9, 1996 to Ruth and Mitch Scheffelmaer. He attended Zurich Elementary School where he graduated from the eighth grade. From then, he attended Dodson High School where he graduated in 2014. Travis worked at Albertsons before going to work at the Gilbert Ranch among his father and his brothers.

 Travis enjoyed ranching, working on all his vehicles, and bronc riding. He was in his element and at his happiest on horseback and with his friends.

Travis is survived by his father, Mitch Scheffelmaer of Dodson MT; his two sisters, Crystal Klein and Ashley Knudsen (Michael Knudsen) of Malta MT; and his nieces, Kimber and Oakleigh Klein and Willow Knudsen. He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth Scheffelmaer; his grandparents, Lela and Otto Scheffelmaer; his aunt Donna Brese; and many other friends and family.
