Terrill Faye Martensen

On June 10, 2026, we said goodbye to Terrill Faye Martensen, a woman who made the world a kinder place simply by being herself.

Terri never met a stranger. Whether you knew her for five minutes or fifty years, she could make you smile, make you feel welcome, and remind you that there was still good in the world. She was independent, strong-willed, and lived life on her own terms, but she was also the first person to offer help when someone needed it.

She was a nurse. A caregiver by profession and by nature. Terri was a devoted wife to Larry; daughter of Bob and Frances Metcalf; sister to Bruce Metcalf, Jerri (Gary) Rennaker, and Kevin Metcalf; and a loving mother to David (Dee Dee) Birnel and Cynde (Brett) Whitlow.

Nothing brought Terri more joy than her grandchildren. She was “Ammy” to Natasha, Naccona, Kaylin, Skyler, Ryleigh, Dillon, Parker, Jace, and Jayden. She loved them deeply and was endlessly proud of each of them.

She also held a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, who brought her joy throughout her life and will carry her memory forward.

Though she was born and raised in the mountains of Western Montana and missed them dearly, Terri spent her final years in Saco with her brother Bruce. True to her optimistic spirit, she had a gift for making a home wherever life took her.

Terri touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, laughter, and genuine love for people. Her absence will be felt deeply, but the warmth she shared so freely will live on in everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
