Taylor Hayden Kirkaldie (Sissy) Šųk wašté wįyą́ (Good Horse Girl) 12 years old, our beautiful baby girl and baby sister, went home to Jesus on September 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. The Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 12 at Chief Nosey and final resting place will be at the Family Cemetery at Red Paint Creek across from the Family home.
Sissy was born on November 21, 2012, in Havre to Byard and Tara Kirkaldie. She was raised in her beautiful hometown of Lodgepole, MT, and she attended St. Paul’s Mission Grade School and later attended Hays Lodgepole Elementary School. Little Miss Taylor found her love for horses at a very young age. She shared this love with her mom and dad, who would make sure that she was there at the track during practices and went to all the Indian relay races every chance there was. She was our Track girl, born and raised in Indian Relay. She later would have been apart of a team herself as a back holder for Little People’s Creek Team. The team had made it to the Champions of Champions in Casper Wyoming. Sissy also loved playing basketball, shooting hoops, running and playing with her pets. She also enjoyed hanging out with her friends, cousins, Nieces and Nephews. She was the youngest sibling, cousin, grandchild and great grandchild in her generation. She had a unique Auntie Sissy vibe, ensuring that her nieces, nephews and cousins felt her presence and listened.
While growing up in Lodgepole she did spend a lot of time in Mission baking, cooking, hanging out and shopping with her beloved Auntie Holly. While Sissy spent her time at the Mission house she grew not only a special bond to Auntie Holly but close to her nephew Roper and Cousin Baby Trent. She would have them boys playing house, baking and doing whatever Auntie Sissy says. Holly would on occasion muster up the courage to take all three of them to town making sure they stopped at Goodwill. Where she would allow them pick out whatever toys or items that wished. They all had a very special bond that could not be broken nor forgotten.
From the moment our Sissy was born she was her father’s heart. There was nothing Byard wouldn’t do for his little baby girl. She was the only one who could boss “The Boss”, getting him to participate in making videos with her, playing games, and whatever our dear Sissy wanted he made sure that she had. The one who shared his unconditional love for Horses and living the relay life. Her Dad was her hero, her mentor, the best man she would ever know.
We all love our Sissy “Taylor” and will cherish all the memories that she has blessed us with. Especially her Parents, and siblings who have shown their unrelenting strength and support during her fight. She will forever be in our hearts.
