Sherry Coleen Bishop, 58, passed away on June 8, 2024, in Chinook, Montana. A service will be held at the Methodist Church, 214 South Main St, Harlem, MT, on June 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a burial at Messerly Family Cemetery. Sherry was born on October 7, 1965, in Havre, Montana, to Gwendolyn Messerly Bishop. She grew up in east of LodgePole at the homeplace. Sherry attended schools in Lodge Pole, Dodson, graduated from Hays in and earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at the Rocky Mountain College while working and raising her family. Her love for fishing, gardening, and crafting was evident in everything she did. She shaped her home into a welcoming space, always ensuring that visitors had something to eat and left with a full stomach. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she actively participated in church activities, including tent revivals and services at the Lodgepole Church. She is survived by her three children, Kaine (Laura) Bishop, Joshua Jones, Jorrell Jones, her brothers Babes (Toni) Bishop, Pete Bishop, Eddie (Sherrill) Bishop, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Messerly Bishop, Nellie K. Messerly, her brother George "Freddie" Bishop, her nephews Brad Bishop and Michael Bishop, Michael DeCrane. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremations.
