Sharron Holden Obituary

Mrs. Sharron Janette Holden (Humphreys) originally from Hogeland, MT, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023 at her home in Sunnyvale, CA with her children by her side.

She was born in Harlem, MT April 30, 1940 to the late Curtis and Hazel Humphreys of Hogeland, MT.

Sharron married John Holden (“Skeets”) of Hogeland, MT on March 16, 1956 in Havre, Montana. After their marriage they stayed on the Holden ranch in Hogeland for a short time and Sharron was embraced by the Holden family. In 1957, John and Sharron relocated to California, following John’s parents who had moved there. California became their residence and home where they would raise five children.

Sharron loved babies and children. In addition to caring for her own children, she cared for numerous other children for family, friends, and neighbors over most of her life. She became a second mom and grandma to numerous neighbors and friends.

She loved music and to dance. Sharron played both piano and accordion, which both instruments were self-taught. Country music was her favorite and most times she would have country radio playing at her home.

Sharron was a kind and generous person, who always tried to help those in need whether you were family or not. She was always there for those who were going through tough times and offer whatever she could to ease the challenges they were facing.

Her husband, John Holden, precedes her in death as well as her youngest son, Kevin Holden. Sharron is survived by her other four children, Shari Turcotte, Monti Cadwallader, Timothy Holden, and Michael Holden; son-in-law, Charles Cadwallader; six grandchildren, Justin Turcotte, Brigitte Turcotte, Kevin Cadwallader, Cecelia Cadwallader, Jessica Dixon, and Shelbie Holden; granddauther-in-law, Savanna Cadwallader, grandson-in-law, Jeff Dixon; six great grandchildren, Elijah O’Brien, Nehelenja Cadwallader, Will Dixon, James Dixon, Sam Dixon and Oliver Dixon. She is also survived by her siblings, Gilbert Humphreys, Betty George, Karl Humphreys, Stephen Humphreys and Aileen Gage; brothers-in-law, Paul Holden and Jerry Gage; and sisters-in-law, Peggy Humphreys, Annie Humphreys, Sue Holden, and Vickie Holden. Sharron also leaves behind many loved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

One of Sharron’s last wishes was to return to her original home and be laid to rest with her family.

A celebration of life will be held on August 14th, 2024 at the Hogeland American Lutheran Church at 11AM and burial following at Silver Bow Cemetery in Hogeland, MT; reception immediately following the burial at the Lutheran Church.
