Rodney Mark Smith, better known as Rod, Hot Rod, or Rod Almighty, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022, while working the trade he loved, Auto Body, leaving all of his family and friends behind too soon. He will be greatly missed by us all on the pool table, golf course, paint booth, and of course The Shanty.
Rodney was born July 31, 1966 in Helena, MT. He later graduated with the class of 1984 from Big Fork High School. During his career, he worked as an Auto Body Technician for Scott’s Auto Body, E1 Towing, and Hammerin Hank’s. In his free time, Rodney loved playing pool, golfing, watching football, and having a beer with friends.
He is survived by his mother Michaela Getschman, brother Kevin Smith (Wendie Smith), brother Danny Smith, sister Dawn Smith, son Samuel Smith, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
