Rodney Irving Larsen, 79, passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 14, 2026 at his home in Glasgow, MT. Rodney was born September 14, 1946 to Lars and Hazel (Young) Larsen and was raised in Malta, MT. He proudly enlisted into the Army and National Guard after high school and served in Vietnam. Rodney married Charlotte Lake June 1, 1984 where he gained 6 stepchildren and had 2 additional daughters.
To know Rodney was to love him. He was the true definition of "actions speak louder than words" in the ways he loved and cared for everyone around him. He lived with integrity, grit, hard work, and enough love to give everyone he knew. He worked until he was 79 years old just to keep up on the gossip in town and usually met you with a "what do you know". He was quick with a joke and to have a laugh. He had a love for breakfast foods, Folgers coffee, and his sweet tooth usually resulted in a couple shared candy bars with his grandchildren. Rodney had a profound love for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Rodney is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; grandson Kevin Lundstrom; sisters Arabelle, Vera, Jeanette, and Virginia. He is survived by his children LaToya (Michael) Buzalsky, LaTalya (Jason) Holt, Marty Lundstrom, Shon (Shannon) Lundstrom, Shane (Callie) Lundstrom, Heather (Kevin) Hartsock, Kristen Lundstrom, and Amanda (Paul) Peyton; sister Elaine Lundstrom; brothers Jerry Larsen, Leslie Larsen, and Russell Larsen; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial for Rodney will be held at the VFW in Glasgow, June 6, 2026 at 2pm.
