Randy Dale Plummer (Phežúta Mathó) was called home by the Creator on August 30, 2020, at the age of 63. Randy was born July 9, 1957 to Lillian Hopkins and Alex Plummer in Butte, Montana.
Randy is survived by his wife Roxann Plummer; his six siblings: Larry Hopkins, Bruce Plummer, Marty Plummer, Alex Plummer, Lenore McGary, and Toni Alvernaz; children: Shawn, Shane, little Randy, Dakota, Amber, Nick, and Brandon; and many more nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Randy will be remembered by his kind spirit, genuine heart, and distinctive laugh. Randy was known for his hard work ethic that was demonstrated through his community engagement and positions he held most recently.
Randy spent many years of his life in Whitefish, Montana before ultimately moving back to Glasgow, Montana, where he partly grew up as a child. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping, going to powwows, and visiting. Randy always helped people wherever and however he could.
A celebration of life and wake will be held at Randy’s home (1026 6th Ave. South) on Wednesday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral services will be at his home on Thursday, September 3, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Randy will be buried at Pony Hill in Fort Belknap directly following the services. There will be a feed at Montana Indian Ministries Camp, Beaver Creek, following the burial. The family is doing its best to abide by the CDC’s guidelines including social distancing, mask wearing, and handwashing. Please be respectful of these wishes.
