Melinda Rae Healy

Melinda Rae Healy, age 41, passed away on May 25, 2026. She was born to Marsha and Percy Healy Jr. on February 19, 1985, in Fort Belknap, Montana. She was raised in Big Warm, Montana, and later made her home in Malta, Montana.

Melinda was known for her funny, adventurous, and loving personality. She was truly the life of the party and always wanted everyone around her to have a good time. She had a special gift of making people laugh, even during the hardest and most serious moments. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to those around her.

To her family, Melinda was more than a sister, she was our favorite big sister. She made us feel safe, loved, and protected, and she always looked out for the people she cared about. Her love for her family ran deep, and she held a special place in the hearts of many.

Melinda earned her HiSet and carried a strong spirit throughout her life. In her younger years, she loved riding horses, barrel racing, and watching rodeos. She loved adventure, spending time with family and friends, and making memories wherever she went.

Above all, Melinda loved her children deeply. Though she faced difficult seasons throughout her life, she was the best mother she could be. Wanting the best for her children, she entrusted their paternal grandparents, whom she respected greatly, to help raise them through their adolescent years. Her love for her children never changed and remained with them always.

Melinda is survived by her loving husband, Ivan Wing; her children, Devin, Walt Jr., Jasmine, and Alexis Doney; her parents, Marsha and Percy Healy Jr.; her sisters, Jessica Healy, Charlene Healy, and Charmayne Healy; her maternal aunt, Sherry Snell (Craig Shambo); paternal aunts, Peggy Healy (Wilbur Gray) and Wanda Healy (Keith Billy); maternal uncles, William Snell and Jesse Snell Jr.; along with many extended family members, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly. Melinda was deeply loved by many cousins and friends, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Melinda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Destinee Doney; her paternal grandparents, Gretchen and Percy Healy; maternal grandparents, Marjorie and Jesse Snell; maternal uncle, Chad Healy; and paternal uncles, John Healy, Clyde Healy, and Jerome Wise.

Melinda is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved daughter, Destinee, beside whom she will be laid to rest at Lodgepole Cemetery.
