Marie Jund

Marie Christine Jund passed away peacefully in her home Thursday December 18th 2025 with her husband by her side. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 27th at 2:00pm at the 5th Ave Christian Church, Havre MT. Marie was the first bicentennial baby born on January 1, 1976 in Havre to Phil and Barbara Sayers. She graduated from Havre High in 1994. In January of 1997 she was blessed with her beautiful baby girl, Destiny Marie. Destiny brought so much happiness and love into Maries life. She was so proud of Destiny and her accomplishments. In June of 2005 she married Tom Jund, her husband of 20 years and gained a son, Kellin Jund, who held a special place in her heart.

Marie's early career started at Master Sports before moving on to education - working for Havre Public Schools and then teaching at the Gifford Hutterite Colony, where she made lifelong friendships with both the adults and the children whom she loved dearly. Her love for others and her dream to participate in more mission work through ther church, prompted her to switch careers into the medical field.

She became an EMT and worked with the Rocky Boy EMS team for 5 years.

Maries faith and love for the Lord was unwaivering, She loved with all her heart and without judgement.

She enjoyed camping, hunting and Paddle fishing with her husband and any others that joined them. Marie’s family meant everything to her. She cherished any time she spent with Destiny, especially after the birth of her granddaughter Ember. Maries mother was also deeply loved and cherished, they had a very special relationship. They enjoyed going on adventures, visiting, and simply keeping each other company. Marie the favorite sister and aunt, a well deserved title. She had a special bond with each of her nieces and nephews, aways making them feel important. She will forever live on as their favorite auntie.

She was preceded in death by her father Phil Sayers, father-in-law Tom Jund, mother-in-law Kay Jund, and her grandparents. She is Survived by her husband Tom, daughter Destiny (Ryan Shelstad -granddaughter Ember and Soon to arrive grandbaby), Son Kellin (Shauna - grandkids Berkley and Kason)

Very special great-niece Scarlett, Her mother Barbara Sayers, Siblings- Kathy Wesley, Theresa Sayers, Lea (Dwayne Conley), Phil Sayers (Shelli) and her many nieces and nephews. Her love, patience, and kindness will forever be remembered and felt in our hearts.
