Marcus Jesse Small

Marcus Jesse Small, 51, passed away due to natural causes on April 1, 2023 in Great Falls, MT. Wake services will start Monday, April 3, 2023 and funeral service will be Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 9:00 AM, with burial to follow at Rocky Boy Cemetery. Services will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Wilderness Funeral Homes has been entrusted with arrangements.
Marcus Jesse Small was born in Havre, MT to Richard and Eliza Small on January 2, 1972. He attended and graduated from Chemawa Indian boarding school, where he met Charla Oldbear. They had 3 children together and made Billings home, he worked many jobs including roofing. He moved back home to Rocky Boy where he did construction working for his uncle Alex Weaslboy.
Marcus always had jokes, also had a good sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors; he liked to go camping in the mountains. He really cherished family time, especially time with his many grandchildren, who he loved dearly. Later on, Marcus met the love of his life Lisa Ermineskin, who he was with for 9 years.
Marcus also enjoyed planting. He had a garden that he would care for. He was an all-around family man. He always helped whenever he could. He was a big fan of the Kansas City Jay Hawks and Kansas City Chiefs. 
He is survived by his Mother Eliza Small (Rocky Boy); Children Kelly, Portia, and Kiesha Small, including God Daughter Samantha Small; Grandchildren Arivana, Jasper, Ivyanna Stewart, and numerous other Grandchildren; Siblings Harlan, Nolan, Nathan, Nadine, and Cynthia Small; Spouse Lisa Ermineskin; as well as extended friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his Father Richard Small; Uncle Alex Weaslboy; Siblings Kelly, Richard, and Leonard Small; as well as extended past loved ones.
