Lois A Dochterman

Long time resident, Lois A Dochterman, 80, passed away on April 19, 2025, at her home in Havre, MT. Lois was born on November 16, 1944, in Lennox, CA to James and Zelpha Chastain.

She graduated from Lennox High School, then met and later Married Joseph Bulter Sr in 1963.  Later in life she met and married Walter Dochterman in 1977, they later moved to Iowa, Oklahoma, then Montana. She worked various jobs in Montana before moving to Havre MT in 2002.  She worked at Kmart and Walmart before being forced into retirement because of medical problems.

She enjoyed fishing with family, knitting and crocheting and making blankets and other goods for family members.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her children Lori and Chris Dochterman, Joseph Butler, Jackie Miller, Bryce and Tequesta Dochterman, Virginia and Cameron Schaumburg. Grandchildren Bethany Martin, Michael Ondiniza, Lucita Ondiniza, Brandon Wind, Alec Williams, Reign Hill, Chase Hill, Raven, Skylar, Dillion and Bryce Jr Dochterman, Tarin and Veronica Schaffer, Michael Campbell, Kira Odedo and great grandchild Addi. Her siblings Ron, Elise and Donale.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Donald, James, and Robert Chastain her husband’s Walter Dochterman, and Joseph Bulter Sr.

There will be a celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
