Join us in celebrating Linda’s life this June 26, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church in Harlem, Montana at 11:00 AM.

Linda Kay Frost was born February 10, 1943, in Hamilton Montana to Wyatt P. Frost and Leland N. Weber. Linda passed away January 16,  2024 in Havre, Montana. 

Linda’s early years was spent across Montana in several different communities as her father’s employment took the family to various projects around the state. Linda met James on one of these stops in Harlowton, Montana. Linda K. Frost and James E. Murch were married on September 1,1962 in Corvallis Montana. Together they have three children; Carol (Mike), Chris and Cook (Kelly).

Linda held many different jobs during her working life. In high school Linda was a restaurant server, nurses aid, and  a meat packer in a slaughterhouse. While James was going to school in Billings, Linda was employed as a ward clerk in the Billings Clinic to support him. In the fall of 1968, the young family now included five-month-old Carol Jo finally settled in Harlem. Christopher James followed in 1970 and Cook Jason in 1975. Linda over the Harlem years held several different jobs including public library aid, bank custodian—and finally at the Harlem Senior Center. Linda’s time at the Senior Center she was first employed as cook then as its director. Linda made many long-lasting friendships during  her time working for the senior center.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, and housekeeper. Linda always looked forward to the family gatherings, holidays, dinners, and celebrations. Seeing friends and family would put a smile on her face and her easy-going personality was a blessing to all. Linda enjoyed cooking desserts and her caramels were famous to friends and family.

In later years Linda enjoyed travelling, playing cards with the “girls” and spending time with friends and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren(10) and great-grandchildren (3).

Linda was preceded in death by her parents (Wyatt and Leland), brothers  (Lee and Ronald), and granddaughter Teonna. Linda has nine remaining grandchildren (Connor, Sevrie, Carson, Shane, Wyatt, Isaiah, Wesley, Paul and Cook B.) and three great-grandchildren (Myles, Cora, and Cannon).

Following the interment of ashes at the Harlem Public Cemetery, please join the family for a reception at Mike’s Garage!
