Leslie Morin Obituary

Leslie Gail Morin, 76, passed away March 31, 2026, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow following a lengthy illness.

Leslie was born Sept. 4, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of George and Isabelle (Travis) Pavlik. She was raised with her brothers and sister on the Northside of Pittsburgh. Leslie received education from Catholic schools and graduated from St. Benedict Academy in 1967. Her degree in Business Machines was from Duff’s Business Institute in Pittsburgh. She then received an Associate Degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1978. She worked selling ladies shoes for various department stores, as a private secretary in the Steamship Industry, also in the art field in various department stores (Advertising Sales Catalogues).

She met Marvin “Fatty” Morin in 1986 through his brother Douglas who was married to her cousin in Butler, PA. They were married in Hays, Montana on April 9, 1988. Fr. Joseph Retzel blessed their marriage on September 4, 2001 at St. Paul’s Mission in Hays.

Leslie loved playing guitar with Fatty. There are two rules in playing music: Cut your fingernails and play Bear Creek Hop at the end of the session. Leslie didn’t mind getting hit from the Fiddle Bow either.

She is survived by her children Gary Bradley of Great Falls, Karlene Cochran of Hays, Ken (Kay) Morin of Hays, Warren (Candy) Morin of Hays, Brad (Robin) Morin of Hays, Frank (Danelle) McConnell of Lodge Pole, Clinton Phillips of Great Falls, Margaret Lawrence of Flour Mount, Texas, sister, Roberta Morris of Chesterfield, Missouri, adopted brother, Greg (Jan) Kirkwood of Malta.

A total of 28 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin Morin, sons David Kelly Gardipee, Michael Morin, grandchildren Jenaya Healy, Dustin Bear, Chase Morin, Jr., and K'Shayna Shambo, brothers, G. Michael Pavlik, Jr., Lawrence D. Pavlik, W. Flagg Pavlik.

Rosary and Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, April 6 at the Wilderness Funeral Home in Malta. Funeral Mass will be Noon, Tuesday, April 7, at St. Paul’s Mission in Hays. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Mission Cemetery.
