Lance Brockie Obituary

Lance David Brockie, 33, of Hays, MT was called home on September 17, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT. He was born on August 21, 1989 to John & Janice Brockie. Being the youngest of 5, he was the baby of the family and everyone knew it. Lance attended his early elementary years at the Mission Grade School, and finished his Jr. High and High School years at Hays/LodgePole High School. There he displayed his natural athletic abilities many times over in Football, Basketball and Track. Lance was feared by teams as the 6’4” post man who could shoot the 3 pointer. He was also the quarterback of the Football team and could throw the ball far beyond the length of the field. He finished his Senior year of high school in 2007 with a Class C State Basketball Championship. He went on to play at the collegiate level for the United Tribes Men’s Basketball team. He met his high school sweetheart, Ang LongFox, during their sophomore year. Of this union, they were blessed with two sons. Jermaine David was born on July 12, 2006 and Jeremiah David was born on November 1, 2009. Lance insisted they both carry the middle name David, one after him and the other after their grandpa John. He loved his boys, they were his pride and joy. Lance worked many jobs and most recently for IMDG. He loved his time there and all of his co-workers. He enjoyed hanging out with his family & friends, playing horse shoes, basketball, fishing, and watching sports games, whether it was on TV or of one of his boys. He was full of life and always one who could make you laugh or smile. He was a joy to be around and was the life of the party. He will leave a lasting impression on all who knew him. Lance met the love of his life, Brianna Kirkaldie. She stayed by his side until the end and we cannot thank her enough for being there for Lance. Lance is survived by his parents, John & Janice Brockie. His sons, Jermaine & Jeremiah Brockie. His brother CM(Velvet) Werk, sister Wylynn Shambo and girlfriend, Brianna Kirkaldie. Nieces: Moeika, Kiara, Kenessa, Chastity, Nashone & Cassidy. Nephews: Charles, Davin, Dakota, Chay-Chazz, Louis, Troy & Chad Jr. Lance is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Louie & Jeanie Shambo, his paternal grandparents, Morris “Brickie” & Joanne Brockie. His brothers, Chad Shambo & John Edgar Brockie. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. We will cherish the memories of his sense of humor and love he had shown everyone. We ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, mom or dad. Extended families include: Brockie, Shambo, LaVallie, Jones, Fox and numerous other families throughout Fort Belknap. Arrangements made by Wilderness Funeral Home in Chinook, MT.
