LaVonne was born on August 30, 1934, Mayfield Township, Pennington County Minnesota, to William and Annie (Ondahl) Jasperson on the family farm.
She attended school at District 35, Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, Minnesota until the beginning of her 10th grade, when she was stricken with polio. She finished high school by correspondence.
Attended one year of business courses at Ann Carlson School in Jamestown, North Dakota.
Married Walter L. Norman on December 11, 1971. They made their home on a farm/ranch near Dodson, Montana. Retiring in 2000 and moving to Havre, Montana.
LaVonne enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing and teaching those skills to young people.
She was a member of Fifth Avenue Christian Church.
She is survived by one brother Russell Jasperson, Plummer, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews, and a host of good friends.
Proceeded in death by parents William and Annie Jasperson, spouse Walter in 2001, three sisters and three brothers.
