Kristina Nelson Obituary

Kristina Nelson, beloved mother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family October 25, 2022. She was 44.

Kristina was born in Glasgow, Montana on March 16, 1978 to Leora Robinson and Pat Marks. She is the eldest of three and was very close with her siblings, Becky and Mike. Kris was raised in Boise, Idaho before returning to Saco as an adult to start her family. Kristina’s greatest joy in life were her children. Raising three incredibly strong, kind and talented young women was undoubtedly her proudest achievement.

Kris had several jobs throughout her life but she spent most of her career caring for the elderly. She took her job very seriously and her kindness and compassion was felt by everyone under her care.  Kris loved to be outside. She especially enjoyed fishing, gardening and paddle boarding.  She also loved watching her girls play volleyball and basketball for the Malta M-ettes. She had a great sense of humor and was always quick to make a joke to get a laugh. She brought so much joy and laughter to us all. To exist on this earth at the same time as a soul as beautiful as hers was a luxury everyone who knew her could afford. Although her loved ones are deeply saddened by her loss, we are thankful for her life and the love she brought into ours.

Kristina is survived by her children, Kloie, Kylee and Kelbie, mother Leora, siblings Becky (Dan) Evans, Mike (Morriah) Marks, nephews Jesse, Taylor, Titan, Zach and Daniel Evans, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and her in-laws Swede, Laurie and Anneva Uphaus.

Kristina is preceded in death by her father, Pat Marks and stepfather, Craig Robinson.

Services were held on October 27 at Wilderness Funeral Home in Malta. An account in her name has been started at the First State Bank of Malta. Any donations will go directly to her daughters.

                             Don’t weep at my grave,

                                 for I am not there,

                        I’ve a date with a butterfly

                                 to dance in the air.

I’ll be singing in the sunshine,

                                 wild and free

                          Playing tag with the wind

while I am waiting for thee.
