Judy Marie (Lodmell) Henry

Judy Marie Henry passed away on April 10, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at Northern Montana Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born on October 14, 1952 to Walter and Clara Lodmell, Judy joined an older sister Beverly and older brother Larry on the family farm south of Malta. She graduated from Malta High School in 1970 and attended Coiffure of Art Beauty School in Billings, Montana. Judy opened Judy's Kut & Kurl in the family home and worked while she raised the children for the next 38 years. She enjoyed the next 10 years working at the Hi Line Retirement Center before entering into her own retirement. Judy loved family outings, the cabin at Nelson Reservoir, cooking for swim team meets, picnics and barbecues. A dedicated fan of Malta basketball, football and track and field, and hockey, Judy was and will be a fan forever! Go Mustangs, M-ettes and Ice Dawgs!

On November 27, 1971 Judy married Douglas B. Henry. Together they had 5 children and spent the next 55 years creating memories.

Judy is survived by her loving husband Douglas Henry, Children Trevor Henry (Julianne), Tracy Henry, Katie Ottinger (Eric), Rosemary Haston and Jessica Zeiger (Jeff); Grandchildren Brody, Beau, Abigail, Orion, Myracle, Taelynn, Carson, Kayla Jo, Alani, Aaliyah, Klohie, McKoy, McKinzie; Beverly Lotton (sister) and Larry Lodmell (brother), numerous sister and brother-in-laws, cousins, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Clara Lodmell.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 7-9 PM on Wednesday, April 15 at the Wilderness Funeral Home in Malta, with funeral services at 11AM on Thursday, April 16 at the Malta Lutheran Church. Luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Malta Lutheran Church. Arrangements have been entrusted with Wilderness Funeral Home.
