John Henry Lodge

John Henry Lodge passed away February 25, 2022 at the age of 50. A wake will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2022, with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2022. Both services will take place at Fort Belknap Community Center in Fort Belknap, MT.

John was born March 6, 1972, in Fort Belknap, MT. He resided in Harlem, MT and graduated from Harlem High School. He worked as a construction worker, a Fort Belknap police officer, a Kwik-Stop store clerk, and bingo worker. In 2015, he moved to Louisville, KY to be closer to his daughter Deja. He was proud when his grandson was born on November 26, 2021.

John had many hobbies including fishing, bike riding, darts, and billiard playing. He enjoyed watching movies, and boxing, and was known for teasing his many friends. He loved spending time with his first grandson, Ambrose.

John is survived by his daughter Deja Lodge, Cecelia and Jorge Coronado, grandbaby Ambrose, brothers Leon (Deanna) Lodge, Robert (Shari) Lodge, Robert (Dawn) Bearcub, Kenneth Snell, Mitchell “Shafter” Healy, sisters Carolyn Healy, Theresa (Matt) Bearcub, Aunts Yvonne Martin, Rose Sullivan, Roberta (Bubs) Werk, Catherine Longknife, and Mary Whitecow, and numerous nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Bernadette Lodge, his brother Alfred (Popeye), Clifford, and Benjamin, sisters Georgia Walker, Amanda Lodge, and Venus Bearcub, grandparents Joe and Josephine Whitecow, and Robert and Winnie Lodge, uncles Clifford and Willy Whitecow, Bobby, Leon, Ben and Wallace Lodge, aunts Helen Talksdifferent, Vinnie Bearcub, Barbara, Jean Rose Whitecow, and Florine Snell, and nephews Josh Healy and Thomas Walker.
