John Bearcub Obituary

John Bearcub Jr. 75, passed away at the FT. Belknap IHS Center in Harlem MT, on January 21, 2021.

John was born on August 6, 1945 to Elisabeth Jackson and John Beacub Sr. in Glasgow MT.  Later his mom met Gilbert Horn and was raised on Ft. Belknap “Down the Valley”, and Frazer MT.   In 1963 John graduated from Harlem High School. After graduation he joined the US Navy where he served during the Vietnam War.  After his time in the Service, he went on to work many jobs which included, ranch work, Mechanic for Olson Ford in Harlem, Social Work, BIA Road Dept., Island Mountain Development Group, and his favorite job was teaching Karate.

John is survived by his wife Anne Bell of Mesa AZ, daughters Theresa(Matt Dillon) Bearcub of Ft. Belknap MT, Annette “Netterz” Horn of Harlem MT, Donalle Guadonnie of Havre, son Robert (Dawn) Bearcub of Harlem, Son in Law Rhett “Speedy” Crantz, Sisters Willowa "Sis" Horn of Ft. Belknap, Margaret Horn of Salem Oregon, Brothers Lonnie "Wayne" (Linda)Herschel (Ardmore, Oklahoma) Gilbert "Buddy" (Nedra) Horn, Donald "Duck" (Fluff) Horn, Curtis (Mona) Horn, Walter (Lisa) Horn, Charlie Horn and Kermit Horn all of Ft. Belknap.  Grand Children Dane Dillon, Devon Dillon, Desmond Dillon, Jacob Dillon, Marina Crantz, Marley Crantz, Mackenzie Crantz, Mason Crantz, Ninadawn Bearcub, Jessalyn (Hunter) Archambault, William "Billy" Bearcub. Carter Messerly, Ashelia Messerly, Jacksyn Messerly , Everett King, Siya King  and great grandchildren Jakie, Macy, Wynter, Arianna, Dalton, Grayson, Lilly, Lyla, Truly, Kindness,  Kaiya, Jett, Aiden, Willow, Duane.

John is Preceded in death by his Parents Elizabeth Horn, Gilbert Horn, Sr., John Bearcub, Sr.,  Brother Donnie Bearcub, 1st wife Veronica Bearcub, daughter Venus Bearcub-Crantz, Grandson Jacob Lee Bearcub, and Two Great Grandchildren Love Lee Bearcub, Beautiful Bearcub , Bearcub Horseman Twins.
