Jesse Snell Obituary

Jesse Robert Snell left us at the age of 18, on April 6, 2022. He was born September 30, 2003 to William Ray Snell Sr. and the late Myrna Marie Cochran. Jesse was an enrolled Assiniboine member of the Fort Belknap Indian Community.

Jesse was always smiling and could spark a joke in a dull moment to make you smile. He was a very loving and caring person who loved his nieces and nephews very much. Jesse was an all-around hand no matter what it was. He loved horses, working on vehicles, and helping his sisters clean their dirty houses and loved dancing with the broom or mop while cleaning. Jesse was kind and helpful no matter where he stayed. He always roamed to his many camps. Jesse loved his family, he might not have said it, but deep down he did. He kept to himself in his own little circle. Jesse has been through a lot of obstacles in his life, but always remained positive and lived in the moment. Jesse loved hanging out with and staying with his uncle Snap and his auntie Marsha. Jesse loved hunting and fishing, he was a true outdoors man. He will be deeply missed.

Jesse is survived by his father William Snell Sr. (Sheri), grandmother Avis Boe, Ina Nezperce, sisters LaRae Ereaux (Jared), Diana Snell (William), Raelle Snell, Marlee Brown, and Ticia Cliff (Miles), brothers William “Bitsy” Snell, Weston Snell, Raymond “Ray Ray” Snell, Anthony Cliff, Tristan Gone, Elijah Matte, and Robert Bell, aunts Marsha Healy (Percy), Sherry Snell (Craig), and Toni Cochran, uncles Jesse Snell (Renee), Chad Healy (Lavonne), and Kenneth Cochran.

Jesse is preceded in death by his mother Myrna Marie Cochran, Billie Rae Snell, paternal grandparents Jesse and Marjorie Snell, maternal grandfather Kenneth Cochran Sr., cousin Jeffry “Weffy” Stiffarm, and auntie Dawn Cochran.
