It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory Allen Evans a cherished father, grandfather, and friend. Who peacefully left this world on March 25, 2026, at the Phillips County Hospital, succumbing to natural causes. Born on September 20, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, Gregory lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Gregory was the beloved son of the late Geneva Grimes and was predeceased by his dear sister, Donna Evans. He is survived by his loving family, including his devoted son, Greg Evans, and his daughter, Marie Alexander with her husband Reece Hickel. Also left to cherish his memory are his stepson, Steven Ickowski, his ex-wife, Rebecca Evans, and his sister, Lavon Maynard. Gregory's legacy lives on through his seven adored grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
From a young age, Gregory had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He relished the times he spent camping and fishing with his family filled with humor and spirit. As the years passed, Gregory found joy in the simpler pleasures of life. He became a fan of mobile games, often challenging his grandchildren to friendly competitions, and he took great delight in watching them grow and thrive.
To those who knew him, Gregory was more than just a man who loved the outdoors and his family; he was a beacon of kindness and a pillar of strength. His presence brought warmth to every room, and his genuine care for others made him a friend to many. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.
A celebration of Gregory's life will be held at the VFW Club in Malta MT on April 7th, 2026 at 6 PM.
