Gayle Renee Stahl

Gayle Renee Stahl passed peacefully with family by her side on January 30th, 2026. Gayle was born August 23rd, 1949, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to James and Arlette Searle joining two brothers Bill and Bobby later being joined by a sister Peggy.

Gayle’s family then moved to Great Falls where she attended school and graduated high school in Great Falls, Montana and a year of College at MSU-Northern. Gayle then moved to Malta MT where she started her career at PCH candy striper aka CNA where her compassion for others first took shape. Through this work, Gayle developed an interest in the law and public service and was later elected Justice of the Peace, a position she held with fairness, integrity, and commitment for 46 years. In addition to her judicial service, Gayle worked as a cook at the GN, helped at Westside as a cashier, worked at the golf course and helped at MOI, Gayle was always willing to contribute wherever she was needed.

Gayle was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Gayle first marriage was blessed with two sons David and Derrick that were the center of Gayle’s world. In later years Gayle married the love of her life Kenneth Stahl on May 14, 1980 joining their families as one. Through this union Gayle gained a daughter Natalie and son Konrich Later welcoming a daughter Brittany into their family.

Gayle is preceded in death by her parents James and Arlette Searle, brother Bobby, sister in law Viki and life friend Annie.

Gayle is survived by her husband Kenny Stahl of 46 years, sons Derrick (Tiffany) of Texas and David (Ursula) of Texas, daughter Brittany of California, step daughter Natalie of Arizona, step son Konrich (Cheri) and family of Montana, sister Peggy (Kelly) and family of California, Brother Bill and family of Florida, extended family Jeff and Linda Johnson and family, granddaughter Sheridan (Blake) Boschee of Malta and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends and extended family.
