Donald Doney

Donald James Doney passed away on August 27, 2022, his oldest brother Dennis’ birthday. Don was born on March 15, 1962 and he totally enjoyed his birthdays, reminding everyone about it. He grew up in Hays, playing and loving basketball at which he was also very talented. He enjoyed friends, music and dancing.

Don had his first son Chad when he was still in high school, he later got his GED. He and Audrey Healy were too young to raise a baby so Jesse and Marjorie (Snooks) Snell adopted and raised Chad as their own. They did a good job with him. Don later moved to Billings where he met Camilla Hy Pine, the mother of his second son Trey Don Doney. Don and Camilla separated but he never stopped thinking about and loving his son Trey. He did not raise his sons but he loved them with everything he had. He later met and married Laurencine Brockie who had four children who Don took as his own. Marcy and Tim Jr. were grown but he raised Nana and Lala with Laurencine. They lived a full, happy, eventful life until Laurencine’s passing on November 20, 2020. He never stopped missing and loving her so we know he is very happy to be by her side again, along with his parents, brothers, sister and the rest of his family.

Donald is survived by his sons Chad, Trey Don and Tim Jr., daughters Marcy, Nakota, and Lakota along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, also little Louis who brought him so much love and joy. Brothers Robert (Bobby) – Debbie, William (Bill)- Cheryl, sisters, Bonnie Miller, Mary Jo (Mike Gray), and Anna (Bill Main). Ex-wife Camilla Hy Pine, aunts Caroline Elliott, and Valmarie Carrywater.

He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Nellie Carrywater Doney, brothers Dennis, Dale, and Marvin Doney, brother-in-law Larry Miller, and sister Beverly Doney.
