Dannell Stiffarm

Dannell Marie Stiffarm, “First Star Woman” (Wichaxbi Wazi Wiya), journeyed into the spirit world on October 6, 2021 at Great Falls Benefis Hospital at the age of 31.

Dannell, also known as “Dani”, was born on October 27th, 1990 to Emerson Stiffarm, Jr., and Monica F. Dillon. Dani was a beloved member of the Fort Belknap Indian Community and resident of Great Falls, MT.

Dannell appreciated all the aesthetics of life such as spending time with family, listening to music and being an experimenting makeup artist. She enjoyed Facebook, some could say she was the queen. Her childhood was spent attending pow-wows, Sundance, camping and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time her companion, Tipsy Banks. She was a resilient spirit that had overcome many obstacles in her life. She was filled with unconditional love, passion and dreams.

She is preceded in death by her Mommy Monica Dillon, her Sissy Liana Stiffarm, M’s mom Niya (Snoopy) Ilene Flying, M’s Dad Emerson Stiffarm Sr., Irvin Flying and Dora Thinker Flying, Charlie Dillon, Louis (Pinky) Dillon, Derek Dillon, Grandma Florence, Grandpa Joe Buck, Grandparents John and Lorraine Dillon, Grace Pourier, Louis Pablo, and many other family members.

She is survived by her Dad Emerson (M) Stiffarm Jr., Grandmother Jolene Dillon, Aunts Lyolene Dillon, Cricket Dillon, Uncle Matt Dillon, Cousins Rona Jackson, Lynnell Boldt, Doug Wing, Dane Dillon, Devon Dillon, and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved and cared for as her own. Dannell didn't have her own children but she did have children, she helped raise her nieces and nephews.
