Crystal Marie Scheffelmaer

Crystal Marie Scheffelmaer, 34, passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2026. There will be a viewing Thursday June 11 from 6-9 pm and a service Friday June 12 at 11 am, both at Wilderness Funeral Home in Malta. A graveside service will follow in Dodson and reception will be held at the Mint Bar in Malta.

Crystal was born April 27, 1992 to Ruth and Mitch Scheffelmaer. She attended Zurich Elementary and Chinook High School where she graduated in 2011.

From then she met and married Taylor Klein in 2020 and later divorced, but came from it two beautiful girls, Kimber and Oakleigh.

She loved her job at the First State Bank but no more than she loved working cows and taking pictures. Photography was her passion. There was nothing she loved more than her girls.

Crystal is survived by her father Mitch Scheffelmaer of Dodson, her two daughters Kimber and Oakleigh Klein of Chinook, her sister Ashley Knudsen (Michael), her niece Willow Knudsen from Malta, and all her brothers from the Gilbert Ranch. She is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Scheffelmaer, her brother Travis Scheffelmaer, grandparents Lela and Otto Scheffelmaer, aunt Donna Brese, and many other friends and family.
