Cody Lee Salveson

Shelby resident Cody Lee Salveson, 48, passed away May 20th, 2025 in Malta. Cody was born January 25th, 1977 in Havre Montana to Jerry & Gloria Salveson and raised in Malta Montana alongside his two siblings. He graduated with the class of 1995 from Malta High School. He then went on to attend Bismarck State College earning his lineman certificate in June of 1997. He was married in August 1997 and later divorced. He moved to Shelby in 1998 and started work as a lineman at Marias River Electric Cooperative. Cody resided in Shelby for 27 years. 

Cody was a beloved son, brother, father and carried a deep value for his friendships. Cody was a very passionate lineman, hunter, outdoorsman, and sports fan. Outside of being a dedicated lineman and loving father, his pastime was spent traveling in pursuit of trophy animals. His countless successful harvests were a testament to his admirable hard work and perseverance. Cody treasured being a father, cherishing every opportunity to share his adventurous lifestyle with his three kids, that he absolutely adored. His generosity, integrity, work ethic and kind heart was an inspiration to those around him. Cody is survived by his parents Jerry and Gloria Salveson, siblings Kyle (Jade) Salveson and Tiffany (Seth) Newton, children Sydnee, Shaun and Savanna Salveson, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held on May 24th at 2pm at the Malta Assembly of God Church.
