Clarence Zimbelman

Clarence Zimbelman, 88, passed peacefully at his home on January 17, 2023.

Clarence was born in Mott, North Dakota to Sam and Pauline Zimbelman, on May 6, 1934. The family moved in 1944, to Glendive, Montana for work during the depression. He attended school in Glendive, then served in the US Army as a radio operator in the signal corp for two years. He then got his bachelors in education at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

He began his teaching career in 1961. He taught in the Whitewater and Columbus school systems and retired in 1992. His greatest passions were the love of the great outdoors where he fished many a day and loved to hunt and garden. He also treasured his time with his Malta Lutheran family and his Gideon family.

Clarence is survived by his Son Tim (Deb), Son Kurt, Daughter Cathy (Bob) and family, and Son Mike (Deborah) and family.

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11 AM, at Malta Lutheran Church.
