BROOKS COCHRAN began his journey to the Big Sands on June 24, 2024 at Fort Belknap, MT. He was born to Phyllis Speakthunder and Kenneth Dean Cochran on February 13, 1990 in Havre, MT.
Brooks was raised at Fort Belknap, attended the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind in Great Falls and then continued residing back at Fort Belknap for several years.
Having a passion for horses, Brooks greatly enjoyed being in the company of many of his cousin brothers and other relatives - teasing and laughing with them all. He was also known for assisting with any laboring work when needed and did so without hesitation.
Brooks befriended many and was whole-heartedly known for his great respect for everyone. He held a very special place in his heart for his nephew (Cody, Jr.) “CJ” and niece Codalin. Uncle Brooks was very attentive to them each and every day and loved being outdoors with CJ.
Preceding him from this earth are his beloved mother Phyllis and father Kenneth; loving brother Gary Ten Bear and sisters Dawn Michelle and Myrna “Minnow” Cochran; special nephew Marty Lone Bear; his dear uncle Dean Speakthunder; maternal grandparents George and Evelyn (First Raised) Speakthunder; paternal grandparents Kenneth “Sonny” and Myrna (Flying) Cochran.
Surviving are his loving sister Nicolette Longfox (Cody, Sr.) Adams and children; brothers Thompson “Geese” (Janelle) Speakthunder, Robert Longfox, Sterling Longfox and Kenneth Parker (Crystal) Cochran; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
