Betty Jane Lavenger, age 67, lost her courageous battle with cancer on April 15, 2022. Born in Havre, MT on December 29, 1954, to James and Elizabeth Lavenger, she grew up in Chinook, MT. A true "Sugar Beeter," Betty graduated from Chinook High School in 1973.
Aspiring to be a detective, Betty enjoyed watching criminal law shows. She enjoyed cooking and hanging out with her family. She worked as a casino attendant for over twenty years, mostly at Southfork/Deeks Casino. Having worked at many other various jobs, she gained so many friends along the way.
Betty created a beautiful legacy of family. She would tell you that her greatest achievements in life were her children James (Kanani), Edward, and Safara. Along with her children came grandchildren: Mele, Quintin, Jayde, Zayden, Kaalalakea, Echo, Elijah, Christian, Izrael, Taliyah; and great-granddaughter Quinzilia.
Betty wasn't blessed with riches but blessed with love. She could be ornery, stubborn, and impatient, but she always wore her heart on her sleeve. She will be remembered as an outgoing, funny, and loving sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved every person who ever crossed her path.
Preceding her in death: her parents; siblings: Edith, Gloria, Edward, Louis, and Robert. Surviving are siblings: Phyllis, Elaine, Ruby, Karen, Cheryl, Bill, Gary, and Jack Lavenger; her children James, Edward, and Safara, her grandchildren, and her companions Stephanie and Danielle Ivey.
When God called her home, she received her angel wings. Loyal and faithful to her last breath, Betty's inspiration and love will continually impact those who knew and loved her.
