'Aminiasi "Tim" Tonga Tatafu

'Aminiasi Tonga Tatafu (aka - Tim) received the call to his eternal home on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, surrounded by love at the age of 63.

'Aminiasi was born July 27, 1962, to 'Ailine Naitoko Tatafu of Kolomotu'a and Timote Tanakitau Tatafu of Niuatoputapu, Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific. 

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Terry, and a proud father to his children, Levi (Becki) Tatafu, Jason (Whitney) Tatafu, Bryan (Shelby) Tatafu, Brianna (Bryan) Shores, Quint (Wendy) Olson, Curt (Michelle) Olson, grandchildren, Lucas, Maddy, and Treyson Tatafu, Bailee, Austin, and Brynn Varady, Finley and Kila Tatafu, Braelon and Everli Tatafu, Dax, Demi, Mila and Sienna Shores, Caden (Adina), Jett, Reese and Grant Olson, Tori (Patrick) Paisley, Lucas, Ashlynn and Liam Beer, Micaela (David) Nova and Aspen Score, Hailey (Keenan) Kazer and Huntley Schipman,  whom he loved deeply and endlessly. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Alisi Tatafu Kane, and Lily (Jacque) Moore, nephew Sione Kane, brother Timote Jr (Langatotoa) Tatafu and sisters in law Vika Tatafu, Idella (Lyle) Lilienthal, Laurel (Dave) Hines, Cheryl (Tom) Moir, Teena (Brad) Wallace, Rosie Young, brothers in law, Larry (Judy) Young, Cody (Maggie) Young, Kip (Sharon) Young and numerous special cousins, nieces and nephews. Amini is preceded in death by his father and mother, Timote and Ailine Naitoko Tatafu, brother Tanakitau Tatafu, and brothers in law Roger Kane and Donny Young. 

Above all else, he cherished his family and found his greatest joy in the moments spent together. Known for his unwavering faith, kind heart, steady presence, sense of humor, and generosity, he touched the lives of many. His sudden death is greatly grieved and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He believed in a loving, faithful and forgiving God. ‘Aminiasi did his best and left the rest to God's grace.'

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 3rd at 2:00pm at The Wilderness Funeral Home in Malta, MT. Reception to follow at the Event Center (Old Armory) Malta, MT.
