Alfred "Hoot" Minugh, 94, passed away February 10th, 2023, while staying at Big Sandy Medical Center.
Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Dodson Cemetery in Dodson, MT.
Al "Hoot" was born at Fort Belknap Hospital on October 1st, 1928.
He married his wife of 54 years, Molly Jo Spencer on November 20th, 1967.
He started his career as a lineman, building Radio and TV towers. Then went into the army from Nov. 10, 1950 to Nov. 10, 1952.
Then started a successful tower business bringing first Radio then TV to millions of people all over the country. Later he returned back to his roots to be a Farmer/Rancher for several years.
He was a member of the Free Masons for over 50 years.
Work was his hobby in later years, opening Al's Town and Country Store to help the Dodson Community. He never really retired, still going into the store almost daily until a few months before his death.
He is survived by his children from two previous marriages, daughter Julia Minugh of Des Moines, WA, son Alfred "Mac" Minugh Jr. of Pasco, WA, daughter Dawn Minugh Kaasa of Havre, MT, daughter Anne Marie Minugh of Orlando, FL and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Florence Wells of Hoquiam, WA, Carol Minugh of Olympia, WA, Donna Sitton of Billings, MT and Cecelia Greiser of Audubon, MN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Molly Jo Spencer Minugh, his parents Alfred "Mac" Minugh and Cecilia Minugh, his brother John Minugh and sister Helen Minugh Dvorshak.
